The MAK IV Incinerator |
It was invented by Dr. M.K Musaazi Started as a burner for used sanitary pads in schools. Developed into an incinerator for solid waste management in schools and homes. Finally, by demand, developed into an incinerator for medical waste. Presently being developed into a municipal solid waste manager for electricity generation. It is a three (3) chamber Incinerator. It is presided by MAK I,II & III (also available at T4T). It has the features of: 1. Metallic; stainless steel and quick temperature rise. 2. Portable; can be relocated. 3. Factory made and tested thus quick to install and commission. Incinerates 10kg of waste per hour. Average temp; 825 degrees Celsius Highest temperature;1160 degrees Celsius. Using waste paper (4kg), the incinerator is started with a match stick. Within 15-20 minutes the temperatures in the third chamber reach above 600 deg (the minimum acceptable incineration temperature). Thereafter, medical waste can be loaded in batches of (1-7)kg at a loading interval of 1kg every 6 minutes. Temp gauge not used by operator; flame observation in chambers is adequate. |
